Blossom, the first

Vibrant, deliberate yet fragile, bursting out of the seeming dead wood. Observing the transparent petals made me wonder what happens when we blossom. What happens when we express our authenticity.

The cherry tree was planted and cared for by the artist. The blossom was observed and experienced and then photographed and digitally altered to express the artist's heightened response to the freshness.
